A doula is a professional personal who accompanies a woman during her pregnancy, labor and the first hours with a new born.
We are a birth specialist but we don't practice ANY medical skill, our job is to have a big and deep connection with a women during her labor and helping her through the empowerment to reach her goals during this process.
Every woman is different and every doula is different too, that's the reason why we have different skills and technics to help women.
Some of the tecnics that we use, but is not restricted to, visualizations, vocalizations, breathing technics, acupressure points, the use of the Rebozo, different positions, specific body movements, and many other resources that we know base on evidence and experience that are helpful to decrease pain during labor, help the baby to descend, woman relaxation, help the partner and family to involve during labor.
